Three winning teams of EuroQuiz 2025 will travel to Brussels. All participants will spend the summer at camp

Three winning teams of the 2025 EuroQuiz will travel to Brussels, the capital of the European Union, and over 200 finalist students will attend a summer camp in Romania.

Authorities announced the results on Wednesday, May 7. After a fierce competition, the “Balofaghi” team from “Axentie Doljnenco” Theoretical High School in Vulcanesti District won first place, the “Vitejii” team from “Mihai Viteazul” Theoretical High School in Chisinau took second place, and the “Cinci Hasi” team from “Spiru Haret” Theoretical High School in Chisinau placed third.

The event gathered 41 teams from across the country and Chisinau. Participants showcased their knowledge of EU history, institutions, values, and Moldova’s European integration process.

President Maia Sandu addressed the participants, highlighting the benefits of European integration and how EU accession will open new perspectives and opportunities for the young generation.

Vice Prime Minister for European Integration, Cristina Gherasimov, praised the event as more than a competition. She emphasized that every participant brought Europe closer to home through teamwork and solidarity, mirroring the spirit of the EU, a team of 27 member states.

Organizers awarded coordinating teachers with certificates of recognition, backpacks, educational games, and book vouchers as tokens of appreciation for their involvement.

EU Ambassador to Chisinau, Janis Mazeiks, stated that the knowledge gained through EuroQuiz forms a strong foundation for understanding European integration and helps build a new generation of European citizens.

The European Integration Office, the Ministry of Education and Research, the National Youth Agency, and the Association of Intellectual Games organized the 2025 EuroQuiz in partnership with the EU Delegation to Moldova.
