An Israeli citizen died on Sunday, April 19, after losing consciousness during a flight from the Republic of Moldova to Israel, according to media reports.
The aircraft made an emergency landing in Turkey, where medical teams intervened immediately. The passenger, a man of about 70 years old, was transported to a hospital, but doctors were unable to save his life.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Israel stated that it is assisting the family and coordinating with Turkish authorities to repatriate the body to Israel for burial.
