Ukraine and Moldova launched joint customs control at the Kuchurgan-Novosavitske checkpoint

Representatives of the customs and border authorities of Ukraine and Moldova have launched joint control at the Kuchurgan-Novosavitske checkpoint for railroad traffic. This was reported by the State Customs Service of Ukraine on January 11, epravda.com.ua reports.

“Representatives of customs and border administrations of both countries signed an act on the readiness of the checkpoint for railroad communication “Kuchurgan – Novosavitske” for the introduction of joint control,” the statement said.

It is noted that the implementation of joint control at checkpoints with neighboring countries is one of the priority tasks of the State Customs Service.

“After all, it will contribute to accelerating the movement of goods and vehicles across the border,” – stated the message.

At the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the mentioned checkpoint was closed by the order of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.

The work of the checkpoint “Kuchurgan – Novosavitske” was resumed last fall precisely due to the project, which provides for simultaneous control measures by the services of neighboring countries.
