At the International Forum European Cross-Border Cooperation in Chisinau, the Ambassador of Ukraine to Moldova, Paun Rohovei, expressed gratitude for the unwavering support Ukraine has received from Moldova, Romania, and Poland — both from governments and from citizens.
Rohovei recalled that from the first days of Russia’s invasion, Moldova responded with solidarity, opening its borders and homes to Ukrainian refugees.
“People here welcomed Ukrainians as brothers, with open hearts and arms,” the ambassador said.
He extended special thanks to Moldovan President Maia Sandu for consistently supporting the Ukrainian people. Rohovei also highlighted Romania’s crucial role and praised the European Union’s united stance against Russian aggression.
