Ukrainian authorities have released images showing the aftermath of an attack near the Giurgiulesti border crossing with Moldova. The footage shows a truck parking area engulfed in flames.
The Izmail administration said a Shahed-136 drone crashed at the site and caught fire. According to the authorities, there were no casualties, and the fire was quickly extinguished.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported on Thursday morning that Russia had launched a drone attack on a border crossing with Moldova. However, he did not specify which border crossing had been targeted.
Moldovan authorities later reported that Border Police officers had recorded two drone-related incidents in the Giurgiulesti area during the night.
At the same time, according to Moldova’s National Army, an unmanned aerial vehicle violated the country’s airspace amid the Russian attacks on Ukraine.
