Unauthorized Aerial Object Briefly Enters Moldovan Airspace

Moldova’s airspace was again briefly violated by an unauthorized aerial object on the morning of October 7.

According to the Ministry of Defence, the National Army’s Air Operations Service detected an unauthorized flight in Moldovan national airspace at 8:43 a.m.

The object left Moldovan airspace one minute later, at 8:44 a.m., heading toward the settlement of Limanske in Ukraine.

“The Air Operations Service continues to monitor the airspace of the Republic of Moldova in coordination with the competent authorities and partners,” the Ministry of Defence said.

The latest incident comes after several unmanned aerial vehicles were detected near a number of Moldovan localities on the morning of October 3.

According to the national integrated monitoring system, the drones were observed flying through Moldovan airspace in the areas of Anenii Noi, Ștefan Vodă, Hîncești, Tudora and Căușeni.
