USAID Moldova has a new Head of Mission. It’s John Allelo. He will serve the mandate and lead the organization for three years.
Previously, Allelo was head of the USAID Armenia Mission, where he oversaw programs aimed at economic development, strengthening democratic institutions, and increasing resilience. He has also served in the organization’s offices in Bangladesh, Pakistan, Colombia, Kosovo, South Sudan, and Bulgaria, where he oversaw initiatives to address global challenges.
“Mr. Allelo holds a bachelor’s degree in financial science from Louisiana State University, a law degree from Tulane University, and a master’s in strategic studies from the Air War College. Our team is excited to introduce Mr. Allelo to our partnerships in Moldova, highlighting our achievements in democracy and good governance, economic growth, and energy security,” USAID Moldova representatives said.
