The Russian Embassy employee in Chisinau, who was declared persona non grata, has left our country’s territory, according to RUPOR.MD. The diplomatic mission confirmed the information to TASS.
The diplomat was expelled because Moscow opened six polling stations for the Russian presidential election. It happened without the consent of Chisinau, which allowed only one station to be opened throughout Moldova.
Following the elections, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Chisinau summoned Russian Ambassador Oleg Vasnetsov. He received the protest note and was informed of the expulsion of a diplomatic mission staff member.
