(VIDEO) A popular rapper is proud of his Moldovan roots; his great-grandmother was Miss Chisinau

The former boyfriend of Moldovan singer Irina Rimes, the rapper Killa Fonic from across the Prut, has roots in Moldova. He performed at a popular festival in Chisinau and told Telestar that his great-grandmother was one of the most beautiful women in the country, according to Cancan.md.

The artist also knows local regionalisms and Russian expressions. “My great-grandmother, Sura, was from Chisinau, and she even won Miss Chisinau when she was young,” he said.

Killa Fonic, whose real name is Ionut Raducanu, performed at Summer Fest, a two-day event where tickets ranged from 750 to 2,200 lei.
