(VIDEO) A vote could cost as much as 3000 lei on the left bank of the Dniester. Observers mistook them for people offering the money.

Voters on the left bank of the Dniester mistakenly identified Promo-LEX mobile monitoring observers as individuals offering money. The association’s representatives claim that voters were allegedly promised amounts ranging from 400 to 3,000 lei.

Nicolae Panfil, head of the observation mission, stated that the names of the candidates suspected of committing the offense will be announced on Monday, after the elections conclude, to avoid violating the law.

Observers noticed voters seeking transportation to the polling station and being promised remuneration to vote for one candidate over another.

Such cases occurred in Varnița, Cocieri, Sanatauca, and Dorotcaia. In the last case, a group approached the mobile team of observers and offered to sell their voting option. Subsequently, the same people, looking for people to pay, returned to the Promo-LEX vehicle and showed them the stickers confirming that they had voted.
