Challenges! On Sunday, March 17, two incidents occurred, as described by Moldovan President Maia Sandu. It is important to report that a Kamikaze drone destroyed a helicopter on the territory of a military unit in Tiraspol. Additionally, at the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Chisinau, an individual threw two containers with flammable substances over the fence of the institution.
In this context, the head of state said that the Recean government would come up with a “response action.”
“Following the two incidents, state institutions have issued statements. Based on the available information, both actions appear to be provocative and aimed at fueling fear and creating tension. Further information is needed to confirm this initial assessment provided by the state institutions.
Regarding the Russian Federation’s decision to hold elections in the Transnistrian region, despite the decision communicated by the Government of the Republic of Moldova, this is an action that challenges the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Moldova. It shows disrespect for the state and citizens of the Republic of Moldova. The government will announce its response in due course,” the head of state added.
