Cristina Gherasimov attended the meeting of the Council of the European Union General Affairs Council, where participants focused on EU enlargement.
Gherasimov participated in the session dedicated to enlargement policy and shared images from Cyprus, where the event took place. In a video message, she said Deputy Minister Marinela Raouna and the Cypriot Presidency of the Council of the European Union invited her to the meeting.
“For Moldova, enlargement represents the process through which we anchor our country in a space of peace and prosperity. We continue implementing the necessary reforms to prepare the country for accession to the European Union by 2030,” Gherasimov stated.
She added that participants focused their discussions on strengthening the rule of law and advancing reforms that form the basis of Moldova’s European integration process.
