In the next few years, the Republic of Moldova plans to create approximately 5,000 nursery places, according to Minister of Social Protection Alexei Buzu.
The official explained that many women in the country are less active in the labor market due to their responsibility of raising children. He also mentioned that there are not enough nursery places in the country, and the costs for families are too high.

“Each year, we invest in nursery places. Through the Economic Growth Plan, we will invest substantial amounts. In the coming years, we aim to open at least 5,000 more nursery places in the Republic of Moldova. We will target urban areas,” the official said.
Buzu added that several state institutions, including the Government, the State Chancellery, the General Police Inspectorate, and the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, have spaces for children who come with their parents to work.
