The Moldovan national boxing team has won two medals at the European Youth Championships in Croatia. This was reported by the National Olympic Committee on April 15.
The best result was achieved by Danila Guranda, who won a silver medal in the weight category up to 67 kg. In the final, he lost to Ukrainian athlete Mark Lomakin. Last year, Danila Guranda became the European champion among juniors.
Another Moldovan boxer who reached the podium was Pavel Zadorozhniuc. He won two victories in the weight category up to 80 kg. So he won a bronze medal.
Moldovan athletes Alexandru Cenusha (48 kg), Nikita Shimanschi (63.5 kg), Zaur Azizov (86 kg), and Grigory Chiriacov (+92 kg) took fifth place in their weight categories.
