Judges brought two of the individuals detained in the alleged assassination plot targeting public figures in Ukraine before the court on February 20. Prosecutors requested that the court place them in pre trial detention for 30 days, ProTV reported.
Officers from the Fulger special forces unit escorted the young woman and the man in handcuffs. Both refused to make statements and hid their faces from journalists.
Authorities previously detained seven people from Moldova who allegedly took part in the scheme and accepted the recruiter’s offer. Officers detained the recruiter in Chisinau. Law enforcement apprehended the suspects after conducting searches in Kyiv and Odesa, where they seized weapons, equipment, communication devices, and other evidence.
