The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) officially registered Renato Usatii, leader of the “Our Party,” as a candidate for the presidential elections on October 20. The CEC decided during its meeting on Wednesday, September 18. Pavel Postica voted against the registration.
Of the total number of signatures submitted by Renato Usatii’s initiative group, just over 16,000 were deemed valid by CEC members.
In today’s CEC meeting, Vasile Tarlev, leader of the “Future of Moldova” Party, was also officially registered.

Previously, the Central Electoral Commission registered two candidates for the presidential race: former General Prosecutor Alexandr Stoianoglo and the current President Maia Sandu.
