Austria ranks among the top 10 investors in the Republic of Moldova. The Austrian authorities are implementing several projects in the country, and Ambassador Stella Avallone told RLIVE TV that she will travel to the regions when these initiatives are launched.
The ambassador highlighted Austria’s involvement in installing water, sanitation, and sewage systems across various regions of Moldova. She also noted that around 100 Austrian companies currently operate in Moldova.
In education, Austrian officials intend to establish an international school and a technical college while also supporting cultural events and arts-related education in Moldova.

“We are working with Moldova both through EU institutions and bilaterally. For instance, we’ve established cooperation between the Constitutional Courts of Moldova and Austria.
We’ve also seen several high-level visits over the past few years. Austria supports Moldova in the field of development cooperation,” said Ambassador Stella Avallone.
Addressing Moldova’s energy challenges, the ambassador expressed deep respect for Moldovan citizens in the face of the recent energy crisis. She emphasized that these challenges underscore the importance of international cooperation and noted that EU support has effectively demonstrated this.
