Ion Basoc and Oleg Cretul, medalists from the Paris Paralympic Games, have returned to the Republic of Moldova.
Family and friends welcomed them at the Chisinau airport. President Maia Sandu and Minister of Education Dan Perciun also greeted them.
Flowers and words of praise awaited the entire Paralympic team when they landed at home.
Dan Perciun remarked, “The Paralympic team exemplifies resilience, effort, and determination. We thank you for everything you have done for the Republic of Moldova and the extraordinary results.”
Maia Sandu also delivered a congratulatory message to the Paralympic team.

“We are here to express our gratitude. We have two more medals from these Olympic Games. I hope we all learn that anything is possible and that many more children and young people will follow the example of these heroes,” stated the head of state.
