The municipality rehabilitated the park at the intersection of Dumitru Riscanu and Andrei Saharov streets, known as the Autodrom area, in the Riscani sector. Residents and visitors now regularly enjoy the park.
The works included:
- Paving pedestrian alleys;
- Cleaning the trees;
- Installing the public lighting system;
- Arranging green spaces;
- Installing urban furniture, including benches and trash bins;
- Installing a playground and two fitness areas, including equipment for people with disabilities;
- Installing tables for tennis and chess;
- Installing a sanitary facility.
The park now also features a “Children’s Road Safety Town,” with traffic signs, road markings, and portable traffic lights. In this specially designed area, children learn road safety rules and practice following them. Kids take both theoretical and practical lessons to understand how to cross the street correctly and ride bicycles safely in a public space.
The municipality carried out the infrastructure project according to a plan approved by the General Police Inspectorate, based on a concept supported by the Federal Ministry of the Interior of Germany, which provided the necessary equipment for the children’s safety zone.
Additionally, the municipality arranged several parking spaces along the green area and rehabilitated Dumitru Riscanu and Andrei Saharov streets.
