The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) announced that over 440,000 voters participated in the Republican constitutional referendum by 12:00 PM, representing a voter turnout of 16.14%.
“According to the information gathered from the electoral constituency councils, by noon, 442,331 individuals signed the electoral lists to receive their ballot for the constitutional republican referendum,” stated CEC President Angela Caraman.
By 1:00 PM, according to the CEC, approximately 800,000 voters had exercised their right to vote.

We remind you that in the constitutional republican referendum, citizens are answering “YES” or “NO” to the question, “Do you support amending the Constitution to enable the Republic of Moldova’s accession to the European Union?”
Polling stations will close at 9:00 PM, after which the vote-counting process will begin, and the first preliminary results of the referendum will be announced.
