On the eve of Teachers’ Day, marked annually on October 5, the Realitatea team spoke with educators about the prestige of their profession, the challenges they face, and the value they place on their work.
Most teachers stressed that teaching is far more complex than it appears at first glance. They underlined that teachers shape the future presidents, ministers, and specialists in every field.
“This is a profession where you must truly love children. We educate the future of tomorrow,” the teachers said.

When asked what salary they believe teachers deserve, they responded that a teacher should earn no less than 20,000 lei, equal to a minister’s salary.
