“Women in Energy Moldova” Association concludes the first cooperation agreement with the UTM

The Public Association “Women in Energy Moldova” (WEM) and the Faculty of Energetics and Electrical Engineering (FEIE) at the Technical University of Moldova have signed a collaboration agreement to actively engage young people, especially women, in the energy sector by supporting education, training, and joint development initiatives.

“Our strategic partnership with the Technical University of Moldova demonstrates our strong commitment to aligning education with the realities of the professional market. We aim to help train a new generation of energy specialists. This collaboration goes beyond an institutional agreement; it represents a long-term commitment to offer young people concrete support, inspiration, and leadership models. By connecting education with industry demands, we contribute to building a more inclusive, well-prepared, and responsive energy community,” said Sanduta Galina, Executive Director of WEM.

The agreement outlines mentoring programs, outreach to pupils and students, the organization of educational and scientific events, and joint participation in research and development projects.

“The Faculty of Energetics and Electrical Engineering fully supports this agreement and welcomes the opportunity to collaborate. We believe this partnership will diversify the educational process, strengthen ties with civil society, and create a more engaging environment for young people interested in energy,” said Dumitru Braga, Dean of FEIE.

Women in Energy Moldova, founded in August 2024 by prominent women in Moldova’s energy sector, signed this agreement as its first official collaboration. It marks a significant step toward actively training the next generation of energy professionals.
