Children and young people from the Republic of Moldova and the diaspora can apply for the 14th edition of the DOR – DiasporaOriginsReturns programme. Registration is open until April 22.
The programme is organized under the patronage of the Moldovan Government, through the Bureau for Relations with the Diaspora, and aims to strengthen emotional ties with Moldova while promoting national traditions and values.
In 2026, DOR will take place in two sessions, each hosting 120 participants:
- August 4–12, 2026
- August 14–22, 2026
Participation is free, with costs covered by the state budget. Participants only need to pay for transportation to and from Moldova.
To be eligible, applicants must:
- Be between 12 and 17 years old
- Understand and communicate in Romanian
Priority will be given to those who have not participated before, based on a “first come, first served” principle.
How to apply:
- Diaspora candidates must fill out the online form and send a video (max. 1 minute, in Romanian) to dor@gov.md on the topic: “Why do I want to participate in the DOR Programme?”
- Candidates from Moldova must complete a separate form and send an email to the same address with the subject: “The values that unite us, wherever we are.”
