The delegation of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova will take part in the summer session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) on June 19-23 in Strasbourg, France.
According to the public relations department of the legislative forum, the parliamentary delegation will include the head of the national delegation to PACE, vice-chairman of the Commission for Foreign Policy and European Integration Ion Groza, vice-speakers of the parliament Mikhail Popsoi and Vlad Batryncha, as well as members of the national delegation in PACE Anna Kalinich and Adella Raileanu.
The agenda of the PACE summer session includes a discussion of current topics, including the political consequences of the aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine and the participation of Russian and Belarusian athletes in the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris. It was also proposed to discuss ensuring free and safe access through the Lachin corridor. The agenda also includes a consideration of three reports on the integration of migrants and refugees; social integration through sports of migrants, refugees, and internally displaced persons; health care and social protection of undocumented or illegal workers.
During the PACE session, Slovenian President Natasha Pirc Musar, Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Peter Szijjarto, and Latvian Foreign Minister Edgars Rinkevics, Chairman of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe, will make speeches.
