Radu Roibu’s outstanding achievement came in the form of a silver medal in the snatch discipline, also referred to as Olympic Weightlifting. He defended 173 kg, placing himself in the upper stands of his category. His competitors, the gold medalist from Armenia, Andranik Karapetyan, secured 175 kg, and the bronze medalist representing Venezuela, Keydomar Vallenilla, successfully lifted 171 kg.
Robu Marian, currently the weightlifting star of Moldovan who got something in his backpack to be proud of. He won a few titles while proudly representing his homeland at both World and European Championships. Notable achievements in his short but intense career include a bronze medal at the 2021 Tashkent World Championships (81 kg), a silver medal at the 2021 Moscow European Championships (73 kg), and a bronze medal at the 2023 Yerevan Championships (89 kg). Additionally, he secured a silver medal at the 2020 Rome IWF World Cup (73 kg).
