The Ministry of Justice organized a new meeting of the Anti-Corruption Working Group within the Support Platform for Moldova. Representatives from legal institutions, the diplomatic corps, and development partners participated in the event.
In her speech, the Minister of Justice expressed gratitude to development partners for their consistent support to our country in the process of judicial reform and the fight against corruption. Additionally, the minister discussed the initiated reforms, progress made, and challenges faced. Specifically, Veronica Mihailov-Moraru referred to the delineation of competencies between the National Anticorruption Center (CNA) and the Anticorruption Prosecutor’s Office, as well as its strengthening.
Minister Mihailov-Moraru provided information that authorities are currently focused on identifying a new headquarters and necessary resources to equip the Anticorruption Prosecutor’s Office with the necessary equipment for the effective investigation of major corruption cases.
Equally important is the strengthening and provision of high-performance information systems for the National Integrity Authority and the Agency for the Recovery of Criminal Assets, ensuring that corruption cases are concluded with the recovery of damages.

“The reform of justice and the fight against corruption are not only our fundamental objectives but also the most important commitments undertaken by the Republic of Moldova in the European integration process. These are complex processes that require time and significant efforts, and the constant involvement and support of development partners are extremely valuable to us,” Minister Mihailov-Moraru emphasized.
In conclusion, diplomatic representatives expressed their willingness to continue supporting judicial reform and the fight against corruption.
Yesterday’s meeting took place in preparation for the fourth edition of the Support Platform for Moldova, scheduled for October 17 in Chișinău. The conference, initiated by Romania, Germany, and France, aims to mobilize, concentrate, and coordinate political, technical, and financial support from developed countries for the Republic of Moldova.
