The Presidency of the Republic of Moldova announces an event for all elected mayors interested in harnessing opportunities associated with European integration. The forum will be organized under the auspices of the head of state, Maia Sandu, on December 9, writes Moldova1.
“Dear elected mayors, over the next 4 years, it will depend on you how our communities develop. People have entrusted you with their trust and support, placing their hopes in the fact that you will work to build villages and towns where we enjoy living and take pride in. I want to discuss how we can do these things together. I invite and await you at the Mayors’ Forum, organized on December 9, to lay the foundation for a beneficial collaboration for all citizens,” stated the head of state in her announcement.

The President emphasized that the objective of central and local authorities is to create strong communities, improve living conditions at home, and transform Moldova into a European country.
“You, the elected officials, are on the front lines facing the needs of the residents. You listen to them every day, and on your shoulders rests the fulfillment of the most urgent and natural things – water for all, safe transportation, modern kindergartens and schools, well-arranged villages and towns. Only together – the central administration and local administration – will we succeed in meeting these demands and improving the lives of all Moldovans. See you on December 9 at the Mayors’ Forum!” urged President Maia Sandu.
