CEC Approves Estimates of Additional Expenditures for Presidential Elections and Referendum

At a meeting on 4 June, the Central Electoral Commission (CEC) approved an estimate of additional expenses for the organization and holding of the presidential election, the republican constitutional referendum, and the activities related to the partial implementation of voting by mail.

Thus, the estimated expenses for the organization and holding of the republican constitutional referendum amount to 37566.65 thousand lei, and the partial implementation of the postal voting – 19661.80 thousand lei. For the organization and holding of the presidential election, authorities allocated 3875.15 thousand lei.

With this money will be purchased stationery, electoral materials, postal services, payment of allowances to employees of district electoral councils, and development and maintenance of information systems.
