Two more candidates for the presidential elections have been registered by the CEC

Ion Chicu and Irina Vlah were registered on Saturday, September 21, by the Central Electoral Commission (CEC) for the presidential elections.

“In this context, the CEC has registered the electoral symbols of the candidates for printing on the ballot for the presidential elections, the representatives of the candidates in the Central Electoral Commission, and has confirmed the individuals responsible for finances (treasurer),” the Commission stated.

So far, six candidates have been registered, while another six applications are under review.

Additionally, the political party Aliance for the Unification of Romanians (AUR) has been registered as a participant in the referendum, with the option “YES.” The registration request submitted by the political party “PACE” was rejected by the CEC.
