CEC on the Second Round of Presidential Elections: Voters Can Request Voting Certificates

Attention Moldovan Voters! The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) announces that individuals who will not be in the locality where they have a valid domicile or residence on the day of the second round of the presidential elections on November 3, 2024, can request a voting certificate from the electoral office of their polling station.

According to commission representatives, the voting certificate will allow voters to cast their ballots at any other polling station in the country on the supplementary electoral list.

“The electoral office of the polling station where the voter is registered will issue the voting certificate based on their valid domicile or residence, up until November 2, 2024, inclusive.

The voting rights certificate is issued upon presenting an identity document that proves the voter’s domicile or residence within the area of the respective polling station. Certificates issued for the elections on October 20 are not valid for the second round of the presidential election on November 3,” states the statement issued by the Central Election Commission (CEC).
