European investments of over one million euros in the development of social entrepreneurship in the Republic of Moldova

The East European Foundation, through which ten civil society organizations in the Republic of Moldova, including from the left bank of the Dniester, received non-refundable grants from the European Union and Sweden, published an electronic brochure featuring the beneficiaries of the project “Harnessing the Potential of Civil Society for the Promotion and Development of Social Entrepreneurship in the Republic of Moldova.”

In this brochure, the grantees who received financial support of 37,500 euros each are presented. These social entrepreneurs have developed or launched various businesses aimed at children’s education and entertainment, training adults in computer skills, improving adults’ health, fostering social inclusion for people with disabilities or those at high risk, and providing services for children with special educational needs.

All these social businesses contribute to the development of people and communities in the Republic of Moldova and represent an example of entrepreneurship in the country that seeks not only profit but also societal well-being.

The project “Harnessing the Potential of Civil Society for the Promotion and Development of Social Entrepreneurship in the Republic of Moldova” began on January 1, 2022, and ends on December 31, 2024. In total, 1,123,000 euros have been invested in the development of social entrepreneurship in the country through this project.
