The Moldovan Government, the European Union, and the World Bank will grant 41 million lei to 72 Moldovan companies. This support will generate over 89 million lei investments. The list of beneficiaries was announced today in Chisinau.
Almost half of the beneficiaries are from the industrial sector, while 30% are from the service sector, and 20% are from agriculture.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economic Development and Digitalization Dumitru Alaiba emphasized that the authorities have implemented an intensive reform agenda, already benefiting entrepreneurs.
Dumitru Alaiba emphasized that the Economic Growth Plan will support 5,000 new businesses and 25 existing companies over the next three years. The European Union announced the plan, valued at 1.8 billion euros, which will become operational by 2025.
Vadim Codreanu, Director of the Organization for Entrepreneurship Development (ODA), stated that, over the past year, 595 companies have received non-reimbursable funding through the organization’s programs. Additionally, the Government recently allocated 100 million lei to support entrepreneurs, raising the total support for businesses to over 350 million lei this year. Of this amount, 279 million lei will come from the state budget, and the remainder will come from development partners.

Aurel Cassian, Executive Director of the World Bank’s Competitiveness Enhancement Project Implementation Unit, encouraged entrepreneurs to apply for ODA-managed programs, noting that this financing offers opportunities to grow businesses and access new markets.
Since the beginning of the year, ODA has facilitated grants for around 600 companies across various sectors.
