President Maia Sandu and the Romanian Royal Family Attend the Moldovan-Romanian Economic Forum

President Maia Sandu, alongside Her Majesty Margareta, Custodian of the Crown of Romania, and His Royal Highness Prince Radu, participated today in the Moldovan-Romanian Economic Forum. The event brought together entrepreneurs from both banks of the Prut River to strengthen cross-border economic ties.

President Sandu emphasized that such partnerships contribute to building a stronger economy and improving and advancing Moldova’s path toward the European Union.

“Today, I had the pleasure of welcoming Her Majesty Margareta and His Royal Highness Prince Radu to the Presidency. Together, we took part in the Moldovan-Romanian Economic Forum, organized in Chisinau under the patronage of the Romanian Royal Family. This event brings entrepreneurs from both sides of the Prut closer and opens new economic opportunities. I thanked them for their sincere love for Moldova and consistent support for our modernization efforts. With such partnerships, we are building a stronger economy, a better life for people, and a secure path toward the EU,” President Sandu said.

Her Majesty Margareta, Crown Custodian of Romania, and His Royal Highness Prince Radu visited Chisinau on April 6–7 to promote Moldova’s economic development, deepen bilateral cooperation, and support European integration.

This visit marks the Royal Family’s 22nd trip to the Republic of Moldova in the past two decades. Over the years, King Mihai, Crown Custodian Margareta, Prince Radu, Princess Sofia, and Princess Maria have visited numerous Moldovan cities and towns, including Chisinau, Balti, Orhei, Soroca, and Ialoveni.
