Registered formations in the 2025 parliamentary elections may request amendments to their electoral lists, the Central Electoral Commission (CEC) announced. Political parties and electoral blocs can replace candidates, withdraw individuals from the list, or add new candidates. Requests for amendments can be submitted until 28 August 2025.
Decisions regarding modifications are made internally by the political formation. Parties or blocs must submit their decision and the minutes of the central body meeting to the CEC. The Commission will review requests and issue a decision within five days of submission.
The CEC stressed that all changes must continue to respect the 40% gender quota, ensuring that at least four candidates of each sex appear in every 10 positions on the list.
