Parliament has approved the formation of 12 standing committees for the current legislature. The Party of Action and Solidarity (PAS) will chair six committees, the Socialist faction will lead two, the Communist faction one, and both Our Party and Alternativa Bloc will each head one committee.
Veronica Rosca will chair the Legal Committee, Radu Marian will lead the Economy Committee, and Lilian Carp will head the Security Committee. Marcel Spatari will preside over the European Integration Committee, Doina Gherman over the Foreign Policy Committee, Liliana Nicolăescu-Onofrei over the Education Committee, and Adrian Belii over the Social Protection Committee.
Liliana Iaconi, elected on the Alternativa list, will chair the Public Administration Committee. Serghei Ivanov from Our Party will lead the Agriculture Committee, while Valeriu Muduc of the Communist faction will coordinate the Environment Committee. Socialist Adrian Lebedinschi will head the Public Finance Control Committee.
Vasile Tarlev will serve as a member of the Legal, Appointments, and Immunities Committee.
