President Maia Sandu delivered her New Year 2026 message, thanking citizens for the courage, solidarity, and love of freedom they showed throughout the year. She emphasized that, despite challenges and attempts to divide society, Moldovans demonstrated the country’s strength and dignity.

Maia Sandu said that 2025 was a year of solidarity and trust, in which people cared for one another and believed that Moldova can be a good country for families, children, and the elderly, a country that preserves traditions while embracing innovation. She also urged citizens to set aside conflicts during the holiday season and focus on family well-being and peace in their homes.

In conclusion, the president expressed hope that 2026 will be a gentler year and called for unity, mutual care, and responsibility toward the country.

“Let us take care of one another and take care of our country. These are the most precious things. Happy New Year, Moldova!” Maia Sandu said.
