The Reinvent Moldova 2.0 event, organized by Realitatea Media Group, brings together professionals who have shaped the media industry and continue to influence its direction. Sergiu Toader, a prominent figure in news television in both Romania and the Republic of Moldova, will speak at the event.
During the panel “Trust in the Media,” Sergiu Toader will address the industry’s current challenges, the relationship between content, audience, and performance, and ways to rebuild public trust in a rapidly changing information environment.
Sergiu Toader has built extensive experience in television and has contributed to the development of modern news formats. He helped launch and strengthen major media brands such as PRO TV, where he developed the well-known format “Știrile de la ora 5,” and Realitatea TV, which he helped establish as a key market player.
Throughout his career, he has held key roles, including coordinating the PRO TV News newsroom from its launch and serving as Project Manager at Antena 1. In 2004, he returned to help build Realitatea TV, and in 2009, he contributed to the development of both Realitatea TV and Publika TV.
Sergiu Toader left Romania in 2001 and moved to New Zealand, where he developed entrepreneurial projects, including in tourism. After more than two decades, he is returning to the forefront of the media industry.
Reinvent Moldova 2.0 will take place on April 30, 2026, at MAIB Park in a TED Talk-style format. The event will bring together leaders, experts, and visionaries on a platform for dialogue and inspiration about the country’s European future. Realitatea TV and the group’s online platforms will broadcast the event live.
