On Thursday and Friday, Chisinau will host an official visit: the OSCE leadership is coming to Moldova

On Thursday, May 14, and Friday, May 15, Ignazio Cassis, Chairperson-in-Office of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe, Vice President of the Swiss Confederation, and Head of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs, as well as Feridun Sinirlioğlu, will pay an official visit to the Republic of Moldova.

The officials will meet with Maia Sandu, Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu, Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Valeriu Chiveri, and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mihai Popsoi. After the meeting at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Moldova, Mihai Popsoi and Ignazio Cassis, together with Feridun Sinirlioğlu, will hold a press conference at the ministry’s headquarters starting at 10:20 a.m.

In the second half of May 14, officials will also hold a high-level “2+2” meeting that will bring together the chairpersons-in-office of the Council of Europe and the OSCE, Mihai Popsoi and Ignazio Cassis, as well as the secretaries general of the two organizations, Alain Berset and Feridun Sinirlioğlu.

On May 15, the two OSCE officials will participate in the proceedings of the 135th ministerial meeting of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe.
