Police in Orhei received an alert around midnight about an unidentified flying object outside the village of Lopatna. A local resident informed authorities that the object, believed to be a drone, exploded shortly after it appeared.
Authorities immediately dispatched an оперативе team, specialized services, and emergency response units to the scene. They isolated and secured the area and continue to monitor it in accordance with established procedures.
Officials also deployed specialists from the Explosive Ordnance Unit and representatives of the Orhei Emergency Situations Directorate to assess potential risks and carry out initial investigations at the site.
According to preliminary information, the incident did not cause any casualties.
Authorities resumed investigations this morning and continue to document the case in cooperation with national competent institutions to establish all the circumstances surrounding the incident.
