The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) has advised Moldovan citizens to avoid all non-essential travel to the Middle East due to the security situation in the region. The ministry warned that airspace restrictions imposed by several countries could result in flight delays, route changes, or cancellations.
Moldovan nationals already in the region are urged to exercise increased caution, closely monitor updates issued by local authorities, and follow all security instructions released during emergency situations.
The MFA also recommends relying exclusively on official sources of information and maintaining contact with Moldova’s diplomatic missions accredited in the countries where they are staying.
Travelers with planned flights are advised to regularly check the status of their flights, stay in touch with airlines or travel agencies, and consider alternative routes only if they do not pose additional security risks.
The ministry encourages Moldovan citizens currently in the Middle East to provide their contact details to Moldova’s embassies in the region so they can be reached quickly in the event of an emergency.
