The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nicu Popescu, condemns the so-called referendums in several regions of Ukraine. The head of Moldovan diplomacy wrote about this on his Twitter account.
“Moldova strongly condemns Russia’s plan to annex the occupied Ukrainian regions through so-called referendums. In this way, we reaffirm our support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine within its internationally recognized borders”, writes Popescu.
We remind you that the separatist leaders of the so-called Donetsk and Lugansk republics announced on Tuesday, September 20, that they will organize referendums on joining Russia between September 23-27. RIA Novosti announced that a referendum will be held in the Russian-controlled part of the Zaporizhia region in the coming days.
