The European Union will grant 20 million euros for the rehabilitation of the railways in the Republic of Moldova. This is done in order to interconnect our country to the railway networks of the European community.
The money will be offered in the form of a grant and aims to connect Moldova to the trans-European transport network TEN-T.
In this context, the European Commission and the European Investment Bank (EIB) have already launched a pre-feasibility study on connecting the railway networks of the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine to those of the EU.
The goal of these investments is to improve global food security.
