Lonely Planet, the largest travel guide publisher in the world, included the Chisinau – Kyiv railway route in the list of “the best routes worth trying in 2023”. This was announced by the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, Daniel Vodă, on his Facebook page.
“The author of the article also notes that “Now called the Victory Train, the route includes a stop at Ungheni railway station in western Moldova, from where an easy connection can be made to IaÈ™i, Romania, a city whose airport is a strategic point for displaced Ukrainians “.”, writes Voda.
We remind you that the Moldovan Railway announced that from November 6, 2022, the regular Chisinau-Kyiv passenger route was relaunched. The train leaves for Ukraine three times a week. The maximum capacity of available seats is 280, and the cost of a travel ticket will be between 900 and 1,260 lei.
The Chisinau-Kyiv train runs with seven carriages and is painted by artists from Ukraine. It is called the Victory Train, and it covers a 700 km distance in 13 hours.
