Oleg Serebrian had a meeting with the ambassador of the United States of America in Chisinau, Kent D. Logsdon. They discussed about the dynamics of the Chisinau-Tiraspol dialogue.
During the meeting, the officials talked about the latest developments in the regional situation. Oleg Serebrian mentioned that the objective of the negotiation process can only be the lasting and comprehensive solution of the Transnistrian conflict, with the preservation of the territorial integrity of the Republic of Moldova.
In the short term, the goal of the dialogue is to maintain peace and stability in the country. Also, the officials want to solve the economic and social problems of the citizens on the two banks of the Dniester.
The Deputy Prime Minister thanked the American partners for the support offered to the people of the Republic of Moldova, including the effort regarding the Transnistrian settlement, notes the Reintegration Bureau.
