The European Union and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) have launched a photo contest to promote renewable energy and energy efficiency. The competition is held by the Addressing the impacts of the energy crisis in the Republic of Moldova programme on 19 April -5 May.
According to the organizers, the competition is open to all photographers, amateur or professional, regardless of age, who want to share the innovative and inspiring ways in which energy can be saved and used in a responsible and sustainable way. The winning works will be exhibited at the events dedicated to Europe Day, and the authors will receive prizes and diplomas.
“The photos will be analyzed by a panel of experts in photography and energy efficiency. The best photos will be awarded with attractive prizes, which include a DSLR camera, professional lens filter sets, high capacity memory cards. The contest is an opportunity to draw the public’s attention to the importance of efficient use of energy and to stimulate the creativity and imagination of photographers”, indicates the UNDP.
The awards will be handed out in a public event.
