A delegation from the National Police visited Ukraine for work! What officials discussed

From 3 to 4 April this year, a delegation from the National Police visited Ukraine. The delegation was led by Viorel Cernauteanu, the head of the IGP.

The purpose of the meeting was to enhance bilateral cooperation between Moldova and Ukraine in targeted areas, including the prevention and combat of cross-border organized crime.

The leadership of the Moldovan Police has expressed its willingness to continue supporting the Ukrainian people in overcoming challenges and difficult moments faced by the Ukrainian authorities in ensuring regional security. It emphasized the growing relevance of sectoral cooperation between the two countries, particularly in the police sector.

“Discussions with Ukrainian counterparts focused on identifying mechanisms for joint resolution of relevant cases investigated by Moldovan police officers. This includes cases related to illicit trafficking in drugs, firearms, and illegal migration,” law enforcement officials have announced.
