Anastasia Taburceanu has been named in a criminal investigation into alleged abuse of office at the state-owned enterprise MoldATSA. The investigation is ongoing following recent searches carried out at the company.
“The National Anticorruption Center has opened a criminal case in this matter. At this stage, criminal investigation actions are being carried out,” CNA spokesperson Ina Volosciuc told Realitatea.

Earlier, Dragos Galbur also wrote on social media that Taburceanu was the subject of the criminal investigation, publishing a response from the authorities to a complaint he had submitted.
Galbur had filed a complaint with the Anticorruption Prosecutor’s Office, requesting an investigation into Taburceanu’s hiring and salary. The complaint was subsequently forwarded to the National Anticorruption Center.
On June 30, CNA officers and anti-corruption prosecutors carried out searches at MoldATSA as part of a criminal investigation into suspected abuse of office under aggravating circumstances.
The searches took place shortly after a public controversy surrounding appointments at the enterprise. A journalistic investigation alleged that MoldATSA director Dumitru Vangheli, who reportedly received a monthly salary of around 110,000 lei, had included false information in his CV.
Subsequently, RISE Moldova reported that Taburceanu, a cousin of President Maia Sandu, had been hired without a competitive selection process in the company’s communications department and received a monthly salary of approximately 120,000 lei.
