The European Investment Bank (EIB) will offer our country an additional loan worth 100 million euros, which will be used to rehabilitate two sections of road in the South of the country. At today’s plenary session, the deputies ratified, with 67 votes, the financing contract between the Republic of Moldova and the EIB for the completion and further implementation of the “Moldova roads III” project.
According to the document, the need to grant the loan of 100 million euros arises from the context of the increase in the prices of construction materials, caused by the existing regional crisis. The money will be spent both for the completion of the works initiated within the project and for the repair and construction of national road networks:
- rehabilitation of the road R34 Hîncești – Leova – Cahul – Giurgiulești, sector III, Cantemir – Cahul (km 82 – km 125);
- M3 Chisinau – Comrat – Giurgiulești – border with Romania, construction of the bypass sector of the city of Cimișlia (km 0 – km 7).
