Anyone can contribute to the improvement of the Action Plan project for the implementation of the conditions submitted to the Republic of Moldova by the EU. This is in the context of granting the status of a candidate country for accession to the European Union. The current deadline has been extended until July 29, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announces today.
The action plan directly aims to implement the nine conditions formulated in the Opinion of the European Commission and approved by the European Council on June 23. The areas covered by these conditions are: justice, the fight against corruption, the fight against organized crime, the reform of public administration and quality public services, the management of public finances, the strengthening of the role of civil society in decision-making processes, the protection of human rights.
The main steps to be taken by the summer of 2023 were included in the draft Action Plan. The document was developed based on the contributions of the relevant national authorities and discussed at the first meeting of the National Commission for European Integration.
Thus, all those interested can send the recommendations until Friday, July 29, at 12:00, to the e-mail address eucoord@mfa.gov.md. The submitted proposals will be sent by the MAEIE to the relevant public authorities for consultation.
At the same time, on August 1, at 2:00 p.m., a public consultation session on the draft action plan will be held at the MAEIE headquarters, with the participation of representatives of the public authorities involved in the process.
In order to have access to the meeting, participants must confirm their participation (surname, first name, organization) by July 29, at 12:00, to the e-mail address eucoord@mfa.gov.md.
