The General Inspectorate of Police (IGP) has uncovered a new method of illegal electoral financing and corruption, allegedly coordinated from the Russian Federation through the TAITO application.
According to the IGP, individuals are promised monthly payments of tens of thousands of lei in exchange for participating in illicit activities. However, in most cases, these promised sums are never delivered.
In response, authorities are urging citizens to avoid using the TAITO app and to protect their data by not sharing it through suspicious platforms.
